The Marienburg Business and Conference Centre provides a unique location and intimate atmosphere for conferences, seminars, workshops, exclusive events and receptions - all contained within the historic Marienburg Manor House precinct. No expense has been spared to provide state-of-the-art facilities in our wide range of newly developed rooms and meeting areas.

Best service for pleasant meetings

We offer you all the services you need for a good working atmosphere: from the desired seating and work tables to a projector, screen, presentation case, flipchart or a metaplan board. The use of free WiFi access for all participants and guests is a matter of course for us.

A night in the guest house

Stress-free and well-rested in the conference or meeting: Our guest house opened in 2015 includes 20 guest rooms with comfortable and modern facilities for relaxing nights where our guests will not miss anything.

Culinary, whiskey & wine lounge and tapas bar

In addition to work, you also need pleasure: Experience our exclusive culinary offers in the coach house and discover our cozy Whiskey & Wine Lounge or indulge in a tapas bar.

If your meeting or conference requires absolute discretion or confidentiality it is possible to reserve a complete floor or indeed the entire facility. Our unique location ensures total privacy. Contact us for details. Please understand that – given our reservation schedule – such arrangements require an extended period of notice. In addition, we have also been offering around 75 paid parking spaces since January 2019.

We offer – included in the conference flat rate – unlimited, all-day access to speciality tea and coffee and non-alcoholic drinks.

Fruit platter & lunch buffet
To strengthen yourself in the morning, you can always pick from our fresh fruits. In the midday from 12:00 to 14:00 you can enjoy our varied, delicious and creative buffet in the coach house. Maritas homemade biscuits are also waiting for you in the afternoon. We would be happy to fulfill further individual catering requests on request.

We are proud that, working painstakingly with the Manor’s owner and with the expert assistance of some great partners, we have instilled new life into - and re-captured the unique atmosphere of – this marvellous old Manor House which dates from the late-1800s. Now Marienburg Manor has awoken and rewarded us all by living up to every promise we envisioned for this handsome estate.

Gülsum came to us virtually out of nowhere - and we are over the moon that she did. She has been on board since March 2015. Gülsum brings with her more than a decade of high-level catering experience and has been a tremendous benefit. She has an easy smile and it feels like we’ve known her forever. And when you see her turn up very early every morning on her bike, you can be sure she's the fittest member of our team!

By a stroke of luck Janina – we call her Janka – was sent to us by an associate. We can’t be happier. A Wonder Woman that handles every challenge. When we gather each day Janka is guaranteed to raise a chuckle with her irreverent take on the world.

Spontaneously, she found her way to us when she asked for a job at our reception. Unfortunately, only as a half-time worker. Other describe her as a team player and independent, we just describe her as awesome! Jutta loves to do Yoga in her free time, where she transfers the relaxed atmosphere directly to our guests in the service.

Manuela Di Ninni

Manuela Di Ninni

Manu – as we call her for practical reasons – came to us from the beautiful Vasto in Italy in October 2017, where she worked for ten years as the head of a kindergarten kitchen. With her roots in Düsseldorf, she returned home after more than 26 years. She takes care of our conference guests in the castle every day and after only a few weeks is an integral part of her life. She also makes a sensational tiramisu and organized us through her cousin access to our own olive oil. What a debut!

Mario Nießen

Mario Nießen

Mario and Alex got to know each other in 2007 during a philosophical chat at the Manor about the topic of steak in general – and meat quality world-wide. The conversation ended with Mario and Alex each declaring that the other was *a complete a**hole with both sporting huge grins. Two months later Mario came to the Manor, slapped six finely aged T-bone steaks down on Alex’s desk and with a few choice words demanded he try them. The rest – as they say – is history: this was the beginning of a great friendship. We have since convinced Mario to leave his own successful business and join our organisation as of June 1st 2016. As head butcher, cook and barbeque master Mario brings with him generations of family tradition in the butchering business, heaps of energy and a tremendous depth of knowledge to our team. Besides his cooking and butchering he takes great care of his hobby – hunting – as well as his lovely wife and his faithful hound.

Michael Tursies

Michael Tursies

Michael turned his hobby into a profession more than 25 years ago, recently developed his own cooking classes, wrote recipe books and is certified by Weber as Grillmeister up and down. In August 2017, his path miraculously led to us. At the right time. Now he prefers to work practically directly on the grill or stove and learns from us that sometimes you just have to feel with the pliers and you do not need a core temperature gauge. Always having fun - even at his own expense, he enjoys entertaining our guests and cooks and gratifies them with great passion that you can taste. He is bubbling with new ideas and that makes us happy. With Mario he has already developed a healthy hate love, which must be under artists probably like that. Has an infinite espresso consumption and has revived our team. In addition to his fighting dachshund Tyson, Michael also loves skiing, motorsport and his mountain bike.

Mirka Kaczmarek

Mirka Kaczmarek

As Janka’s best friend, Mirka stands her in no way behind when it comes to combining working hard and having fun at the workplace. While making Mario happy with her work in the kitchen, she is a true blessing for our team. With her former experience as an art teacher, she will make use of her creative mind more intensively for our fingerfood. No one else ever so successfully integrated herself into our company as she did.

Niklas Trebels

Niklas Trebels

After successfully completing his masters in Macroeconomics in the summer of 2014, Niklas came straight to us. Every morning he struggles up the traffic-choked A1 to work. Born in 1987, Niklas is still in that great phase of life where one can enjoy every experience without worrying too much about things. However he has thought sufficiently deeply about his role at Marienburg that, after checking us out for quite some time, he’s decided to hang in there. Anyway, it’s not always about getting into the nuts and bolts of everyone’s existence: the fact is Niklas is here and fits in well with the Marienburg team.

Renate Meurer

Renate Meurer

Since the beginning of our grill academy in 2012, she is with us. Back then, still as a representative and technic expert of our cooperation partner Camping Meier. In 2017, she permanently stayed with us. With several decades of experience in retail and as a grill expert, she is helping us in our service team of our conference center, and during all our grill courses. She calls Alex the best boss ever and loves the familiar atmosphere in our team. In her free time, she loves reading, spending time with her grandchildren and her neighbors.

Silvia Galanti

Silvia Galanti

Silvia, with us since 2011, has a high level of experience in the service industry, a great personality and is the sunshine of the organisation. She’s a hot-blooded Italian, fluent in many languages and absolutely indispensable when the pressure’s on. Above all else she adores Ashley the Wonder Dog – our four legged friend, Alex’s manager and the mascot of Marienburg Manor – and loves nothing better than singing and dancing.

Tim Berg

Tim Berg

Tim grew up in Leichlingen and now lives in Leverkusen. He is qualified in banking and bank management. He initially joined Alex Zimmer’s Junior Management School Pty Ltd (which ran educational training programs for school leavers). He was heavily involved in the development of the Business & Conference Center and has primary responsibility for the Meeting/Seminar/Conference division. He played basketball at a competitive level for over ten years and it is still an important part of his life – more now as a way to keep fit. Since 2013 however his family plays the most important role in his life and Tim and his wife extremely proud of their two young daughters.

Zeynep Kilic

Zeynep Kilic

With many years of experience in the gastronomy, Zeynep came to us in 2016. She helps Mario and Mirka to prepare delicious meals for our guests on a daily basis. Her Turkish salads are just incredible! She is not only reliable, but also stating her opinion whenever it is valuable. In her free time, she likes to go shopping or to knit as a balance to her work.
